📌BUT FIRST
Hopefully you’re aware by now that my main project, The Spirited Talk Podcast, has sadly ended. I ran out of money and could no longer afford to keep it going. I’ll be sharing a little more detail about that with you soon.
The result of this decision means I have more time for my writing and more time for other projects that have been on hold for nearly three years. Already, I’ve returned to one of my hobbies, which is videography and photography. I’ve a decent selection of equipment that has been gathering dust recently. It’s out and soon to get a lot more use.
But before that, I’ve been going back through all the videos I shot on recent holidays and compiling them into short videos for our personal viewing. The joy and pleasure this is bringing me is wonderful.
The big lesson I’ve learnt is that having a blinkered vision on one project for three years has come at the expense of other important aspects of my life. Without the daily schedule that I had, I’m finding time to re-explore the things I love. Reading, writing, meditation, sitting in my cabinet, and sleeping a lot more!
People have always said that having a balance in life is important. I always thought I did, and believed that if you’re doing something you love, does it matter about balance. Let me tell you - absolutely yes it matters. No matter how much you love doing something, it must be kept in check in your life and not allowed to take over.
