▶ THE ORANGE SQUASH RECIPE
When I judge these writing sessions for the summary at the end, I approximate how much my own mind would have influenced what was being said. Attempting to explain how I do that is difficult. I have come up with a simple analogy that best describes the process that I call ‘The Orange Squash Recipe’.
There are three ingredients needed to make a glass of orange squash. A glass, water and the concentrated flavoured squash (personally, I like Vimto!). Align those ingredients with the spirit writing as the glass representing my mind. The water is my own thoughts and the voice of the spirit speaker is the concentrated squash.
All of the words I write have to come from my mind (the glass) as I write them on the notepad. The flow of thoughts (the water) is enriched by the words from the speaker in spirit (the squash). The mix varies every time.
When I re-read the notes some weeks later, I’ve learnt how to approximate how much of the message content is most likely based on my own ‘water’ compared with the sentiments from the spirit speaker (the squash).
This is the best analogy I can come up with to describe the process. I do wonder what would be the results if some of the great trance speakers did this for themselves. I suspect in most cases, the drink would be strongly flavoured.
