🔹 HAPPY VISIONS
We were attending the church that Barbara, Jane’s recently passed mother, used to frequent. Jane and I sat in the front row for the service which was combined with the usual Sunday service and the internment of Barbara’s ashes in the small memorial garden alongside the church.
The vicar suggested during the service that the congregation should sit in contemplation for a few minutes while the organist played a piece of music. During those moments, I shivered and knew immediately a spirit was present around me. With my mind’s vision, I clearly saw Barbara standing in front of me. She was smiling and happy. She was wearing a white flowery dress.
I waited a few moments and then chose to share my vision with Jane, explaining that her mum was there and happy. I thought I told Jane what dress she was wearing at the time, though since then Jane believes I didn’t share that detail with her. Jane was pleased to know her mum was around and happy.
A little over a week later, we were both sitting watching television, when suddenly, out of the blue, Jane reacted startled. She stared at the sofa seats next to me. She declared she had just seen her mum sitting there smiling. Jane said that she heard her mum say, “It’s lovely”. Jane believed that her mum was referring to the decor of the recently finished lounge. She had not got to see it finished before she passed, though she knew we were in the midst of doing it up.
I asked Jane if she noticed what her mum was wearing. Jane replied, “it was her white flowery dress she used to like.”
“Like the one I described to you at the service?” I inquired.
“You didn’t mention the dress,” Jane replied.
I was sure I had mentioned it. Either way, with both of us having experienced our own visitation from Barbara, wearing the same dress that we’d both described accurately, we were left with little doubt that Jane’s mum was around us.
I asked Jane if her mum ever told her whether she was a believer in life after death. Although Barbara knew my abilities, she was never what you would call a believer. Jane said that she always wanted to believe there might be something else, but wasn’t convinced.
Barbara has been quick to adapt to her new life and has already made contact with us several times. Comforting and reassuring.
