🔹 RITUALS & REGULAR ROUTINES
I’m a strong advocate of rituals and routines. Often I refer to them as systems - a system for doing something. These publications, for example, follow a system I have created that works for me. The whole is made up of components that come together as one.
The word ‘ritual’ often denotes something dark, black magic-like and potions. Yet a ritual is simply a routine repeated, a way of doing something that works and repeating it again and again.
Rituals help us get into routines that work for us when we choose. I have a ritual for when I do a tarot reading. I have a ritual for when I do spirit-inspired writing. In fact, I have many rituals that I carry out regularly to get my chores done.
The spirit people working with us love rituals. They love it when we start a routine that they recognise as involving them. When I ring my little bell, kept inside my tarot box, the spirit team know I am calling. When I sit in my cabinet, open my digital notebook and create a new notepad, heading it and preparing it, they know I will be sitting in the power within seconds.
Have you got any rituals you use for your spiritual work? Perhaps it’s when you play a piece of music prior to starting a healing session. Or maybe it’s when you go into a special place, with a cushion to sit in silence. Rituals help you stay organised and in control of your schedule.
Create a system that works for you and stick to it every time. Many of our daily tasks can be completed using a system we have specifically created for that purpose. A notebook stored handily in the kitchen could be used to write one line of a new poem every day for example. Create the routine and you have a system and a ritual. Like I said above, the spirit team working with you love rituals. ▪
